I’ve never been one for resolutions, but I do believe in setting goals that are challenging and exceptionally difficult to achieve. Let’s face it: Without those aspirations and the support of readers like you, we would have been one of the 80 percent of businesses that fail in their first 18 months.

I’ve never been one for resolutions, but I do believe in setting goals that are challenging and exceptionally difficult to achieve. Let’s face it: Without those aspirations and the support of readers like you, we would have been one of the 80 percent of businesses that fail in their first 18 months. With Galavante in its third year, what we have in store for you this 2014 is exponentially further than we’ve come since humbly starting with four co-founders three years ago. Today, we are a team of 28 exceptional professionals, who come from Wall Street, UrbanDaddy, and the top magazines and web development and digital media firms. 

We hope you’ll notice that the new year is not the only “new” at Galavante. This January, we’re proud to announce the beginning of a complete redesign of Galavante’s website.  Since starting Galavante in October 2010, we’ve brought you 2000-plus articles, and we’re creating a more user-friendly place for you to explore the world through our travels, and inspire you to plan your own vacations. On Travel, you’ll see that we’re bringing you more – from access to deals and the latest news to special interest articles and road trips from New York City. Speaking of our fair city, expect to see more in-depth restaurant reviews, and interviews with those who know the city best, including Ed Burns, Heidi Klum, and many more. 

With the evolution of our business, we’ll be offering membership privileges in the next month or two, providing you the opportunity to sign up for a Business Class or First Class membership, to be even more a part of the Galavante family. The Business Class membership will provide access to all the articles your heart desires on our website, a gratis pass to an airport lounge, our soon-to-be-released travel app, and the chance to be a member of our Reviews & Forums insider community. Our First Class membership has the added bonus of exclusive travel deals, invites to events, and many other offers from luxury partners. We’ll still offer free access to a limited number of articles monthly for those who want to get to know us, but to keep the lights on in our business and to give you the best in travel, we hope you’ll join us when we launch the membership in 2014.
