It only makes sense that after a 10-course meal paired with fabulous wines, you may feel the need to take a nap. Even better when that nap is an overnight stay, just a few steps upstairs from your table. SingleThread, one of California’s eight restaurants with the prestigious Michelin three-star rating, officially has room for you at the three-key inn.

Farm. Restaurant. Inn.
On an unassuming corner of North Street and Center Street where the town post office once stood, you could walk right past SingleThread without noticing one of the world’s best restaurants.

Surrounded by the vineyards of Sonoma’s Dry Creek Valley, 24 acres of fertile farm land burst with Kyoto carrots, Komatsuna mustard, Negi onions, and red ace beets. Nearby, in downtown Healdsburg, farmers and producers deliver daily freshness to SingleThread’s transparent kitchen. It’s an eye-popping first look inside. “Like dining in our own home,” says owner and Chef Kyle Connaughton, who creates the Japanese-inspired menu. His wife, owner Katrina Connaughton, manages the farm and a floral design team. Everything is an element that harmoniously perfects the final inch that defines SingleThread’s guest experience.

Earning two stars straight away after the 2018 opening, SingleThread achieved a sensational ascendancy to three stars a year later. It drew admirers from all over the world. There’s an Open Table system that releases at 9 a.m. PT on the first of each month for the following month. But, while tables in the 52-seat restaurant get snatched up immediately, there is another way.

Upstairs at SingleThread Inn
Plan ahead. The SingleThread Inn right above the restaurant limits accommodation to four guest rooms and one Master Suite. The good news is that an in-room complimentary Japanese- or Sonoma-style breakfast for two is included and a SingleThread Inn guarantees you a reservation in the three-star Michelin restaurant with every stay. Stay two or more nights, and enjoy a private multi-course Donabe Hot Pot dinner served in your room or up on the rooftop.

While intimate, there’s a sense of space in guest rooms with redwood beams, exposed brick, a gas fireplace, and 14-foot ceilings. The SingleThread experience conveys a quiet, timeless kind of luxury. It’s contemporary, warm, and beautifully understated.
Michelin’s new hotel ratings awarded its top distinction of three keys to SingleThread Inn, calling it a “tiny, food-driven hotel.” One of only six hotels in California to be awarded three keys, SingleThread is the world’s only three-key hotel with a three-star restaurant.
We know Healdsburg as Sonoma’s most charming town. It’s small, and best appreciated on foot. Thanks to a partnership with SingleThread, you can borrow the keys to an Audi e-tron. The concierge can point the way for outdoor adventures in Sonoma County where more than 400 wineries are spread across 19 American Viticultural Areas. You can drive through small towns and past the beautiful vineyards. In fact, you can explore all the way to the remote and rugged Pacific coast, where sea lions congregate. Or, take off in another direction to admire mighty Redwoods in a state natural reserve.
Across Town at The Selvedge
The SingleThread brand is expanding in Healdsburg with ten additional rooms. It’s a design‑forward, top‑to‑bottom renovation of The River Belle Inn, a riverfront Victorian mansion. The Selvedge, A SingleThread Inn, will open in late 2026 after the full transformation of the 1895 property, a 15‑minute walk past the boutique‑lined Healdsburg Plaza that functions as the town’s outdoor living room.
