Bergdorf Goodman opens up an outdoor café. On Fifth Avenue. With those King & Queen Chairs, you know, to oversee your subjects. Seriously we’ve been having good feelings about the hustle restaurants are putting into staying open, and the arrival of an outdoor café right in the heart of Fifth Avenue is enough motivation to come back into the office. Or at least make a special trip to Midtown.
Prime seats are available on first-come, first-served from 11:30am to 5pm. And yes there’s booze.
There’s also their signature lobster salad, a croque monsieur, their organic chicken salad and their crab cake, so plenty of nostalgia for the pre-COVID days and long lunches you would sneak away at Bergdorfs.
Whether or not you’re shopping indoors, afternoon tea also runs from 2-5pm, and people watching from open to close.
We’re hoping BG on Fifth is a permanent fixture.
