Maine is becoming the go-to place where celebs go to escape the paparazzi. And one of those celebrities, the actor known for playing the role of Dr. Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd on Grey’s Anatomy, spends a lot of time there. Originally built in 2002, the actor purchased the home and has made many additions since then. Outdoors, the house features multiple patios, a pool and in the winter, an outdoor skating rink. Inside, the seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms are impressive but overshadowed by the massive state-of-the-art entertainment center.

Situated on the Atlantic Ocean, there are plenty of gorgeous beaches to visit, scenic lighthouses to view and plenty of opportunities for boat adventures and tours.
